Also avoiding preservatives, MSG, and anything "enriched". Read labels, sugar is in EVERYTHING today, especially bread. Stick to whole grains and if you can't avoid sugar, at least make sure it's not listed in the first five ingredients.
Combining the above list is the most effective as it will maximise your metabolic rate. Looking at the list may seem like a whole lifestyle change, however inclusing one method every week is a good start as you can plan how you will incorporate incremental changes into your daily routine. And where it sais NO sugar and NO refined grains. I do thin NO is the most appropriate word, as a lot of people tell you to 'cut back' well thats like buying the newspaper and reading less of it.
