Back Pain

A few months ago I was in a car accident - not a very high-speed accident - but I was rear-ended by a girl who wasn't paying attention. I was at a complete stop, and the impact completed put me out of commission -- for quite a few weeks. I had been living with pain for over 3 years, but this was worse than anything I had experienced before.

However, I believe it has turned out to be a blessing. The new levels of pain put me at a completely non-functioning level -- which forced me to find new solutions. I found a pain clinic and ended up getting several epidural injections into my spine. It took almost a month, but I am feeling much better and back at work.

It's amazing how much back pain can influence every aspect of life. I am grateful for those who work in pain management, and can help those of us who have not been able to find other solutions. I'm still in pain but it's so much better and the physical therapy is helping as well.

Are there any other remedies or helps to actually HEAL the back/spine? I don't want to live with pain the rest of my life - I've been told that is what I need to deal with - but I have to believe our bodies are amazing and can heal if we give them the right conditions. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!
